Change Direction of Rotation of PTO Output Shaft and More

Muncie Power Products' gear adapters can be used for several purposes, most commonly, to change the direction of rotation of the power take-off (PTO) output shaft.

In changing the PTO shaft rotation, it matches the PTO rotation to that of the driven equipment. As gear adapters mount between the vehicle transmission and PTO, gear adapters can also be used to space the PTO out and away from the transmission case. This relocation of the PTO output shaft can improve clearance for a driveshaft or direct-coupled pump.

Muncie Power has gear adapters available to fit most popular transmissions. On some imported or non-SAE standard transmissions the gear adapters allow for the mounting of standard 6-bolt PTOs.
