Sr. Vice President IT & Administration Chris Fancher to Retire

Senior Vice President IT & Administration Chris Fancher will be retiring from Muncie Power Products at the end of December, drawing to a close his long, distinguished, and dedicated career to our company, our people, and our customers.

The name Chris Fancher is synonymous with the Muncie Power brand. The high professional and personal standards that he demonstrates on a daily basis have helped to form our company and our culture into what it is today—a quality organization that is well respected in our industry and our community.

Since beginning his career with the company in 1978, Chris has served in various capacities at Muncie Power Products including shipping and receiving clerk, bench assembler, accounting clerk/manager, internal auditor and inventory control, data processing manager, corporate controller, vice president and corporate controller, senior vice president finance and administration, and senior vice president IT and administration—the position he holds today. Chris has also served on the board of Muncie Power since 2006. From 2006–2011, he served as treasurer and, in 2012, assumed the additional duties of secretary.

Over the course of his career, Chris had the opportunity to work with and learn from various leaders within the company. The most influential, however, was Mr. Hamer Shafer who played a large role as a mentor in his development as a business professional and leader in the company and community.

We wish him well in his retirement. He will truly be missed!
